Short Term Stays and Respite Care

It’s a big decision to make in moving from your home and familiar neighborhood. Cardinal Village can help you consider a change without the permanent financial commitment that other facilities may require. No strings attached … stay with us for anywhere from two weeks to three months. You’ll become acquainted with our residents and staff, and your decision may become an easier one.

Cardinal Village Assisted Living Personalized Levels of Care

At Cardinal Village, whether a resident is totally independent with no need for additional care, or is someone who requires substantial or enhanced care with activities of daily living, residents only pay for the care they need. That’s why at Cardinal Village customized personal care plans are available. Assistance can be provided for services such as:

Activities of Daily Living
Medication Administration and Monitoring
Incontinence Management

Before moving in, a resident‘s initial level of care is determined through an assessment by the nurse manager, combined with input from the resident and family. Thereafter, a resident’s level of care may be adjusted to a higher or lower level, or remain the same. The nurse manager is available to the resident and family, and care planning is ongoing for the entire time a resident lives at Cardinal Village.

Hospice Services

Cardinal Village offers hospice services through long-term contractual relationships with preferred providers. Hospice services are based on palliative care, symptom management, spiritual and emotional support, comfort, and compassion. Medication, medical supplies, equipment and therapies may be included. Pain management is especially important to the peace of mind of both the resident and family members. The staff at Cardinal Village is at the ready to assist and work with the needs of the resident and family while the hospice team performs its end-of-life special services. Together, we provide the best of care and commitment to our residents and patients.

Bereavement Counseling

Bereavement counseling is also available to our families through a monthly support group meeting held at Cardinal Village by a member of the clergy who specializes in this vital, spiritual work.
